OBI hosts three annual fundrasing events - Mardi Gras, Links Challenge Golf Tournament and Bowl-A-Thon. We want to thank the community for its continuous generosity to make these fundraisers such successes. Proceeds help OBI to continue to providing the necessary services helping adults with developmental disabilities be productive citizens.
10th Annual Links Challenge
Come join us on Monday, June 10, 2013, for our 10th Annual Links Challenge. This is a great time to enjoy a day out in the sun (we do our sun dance every year) with colleagues, friends and family members on the beautiful Compass Pointe Golf Course.

16th Annual Bowl-A-Thon
Our Bowl-A-Thon is a fun day for the entire family and is both a “Fun” raiser and a “Fund” raiser. Proceeds from this year's event benefit the Friendship Civitan Club & Opportunity Builders, Inc. The event is generously hosted annually by the Glen Burnie Bowl America. The date of this year's event will be determined as we get closer to the fall, typically the event runs from 1 pm - 3 pm.
The Friendship Civitan Club is unique in that its membership consists primarily of adults served by OBI. Friendship Club projects educate and entertain its members as well as provide the opportunity to “help the world” through volunteer service and community involvement. Not only do OBI’s clients belong to the club, OBI staff and family members are active members as well. This Bowl-A-Thon is the club’s main fundraising event; the proceeds will benefit all activities planned throughout the year.

16th Annual Mardi Gras
Come join the fun at OBI’s 16th Annual Mardi Gras on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. Our Mardi Gras which is truly a community event is OBI’s largest fundraiser. It has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars throughout the event’s 15-year history.
For our Mardi Gras Celebration, we decorate our warehouse to resemble Bourbon Street. It is a great “street” party with live music, food, entertainment, casino games, bingo, and a silent and live auction. Our Mardi Gras is an event full of merriment, laughter, joy and truly an evening NOT TO BE MISSED.
